Regional Schools Family Violence Project
The Regional Schools Family Violence Project is a component of Barwon
South West Integrated Family Violence
Program (IFVP).
The project addresses the IFV Work Plan Priority 7: ‘Focus on children
and young people’ with a particular emphasis on prevention of FV in future
generations.

The Regional Schools Family
Violence Project aims to:
· Gather information about relevant schools FV related
work and models across the State
· Scope and support existing schools FV related
prevention programs in the BSW region, plus carry out some evaluation
· Work closely with Aboriginal Co-ops / Indigenous
communities
· Consult & involve
· Identify school curriculum and activities to link the
project to
· Support FV schools based programs through locating
resources and funding as needed
· Create a plan to develop schools FV prevention across
the region, taking into account the different needs of localities: rural and
city, plus schools groups.
·
Develop a pilot for an integrated FV
‘whole of school’ project
· Work closely and consult regularly with a regional
Schools FV Prevention Steering Committee
The Regional Schools Family Violence Project Officer role is 21 hours
per week - days of work are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
